Nexon Gets Smarter: 2025 Tata Nexon Rolls Out with ADAS and a Bold New Red Dark Edition

Tata Motors elevates the 2025 Nexon with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and introduces a striking Red Dark Edition across all powertrains, including the EV, bolstering its appeal in the compact SUV segment.

Red Dark Nexon EV With ADAS

India’s roads are getting smarter, and so are its cars. Tata Motors, always one to keep pace, has just rolled out significant updates for its popular compact SUV, the Nexon. For 2025, the Nexon not only steps into the advanced safety league with ADAS but also turns heads with a brand-new, aggressively styled Red Dark Edition. The updates extend to both the Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) and Electric Vehicle (EV) models, giving a fresh lease of life to an already segment-defining product.

Advanced Safety Takes the Front Seat with ADAS

In a move that’s sure to grab headlines, Tata has equipped the 2025 Nexon with Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). This advanced safety suite is exclusively available on the top-tier Fearless+ PS DCA variant, specifically with the 1.2L turbo petrol engine and the 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. For an additional premium of just Rs 26,000, buyers can now get a co-pilot that offers features like Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR), High Beam Assist (HBA), and a Lane Centering System. These features aim to significantly enhance driver and passenger safety, making daily commutes and highway journeys much more secure.

Bold Aesthetics and Premium Touches

Alongside the tech upgrade, Tata Motors has also unleashed the much-anticipated Red Dark Edition across all powertrain options – petrol, diesel, and even CNG variants. Building on the sporty persona previously seen in the Nexon EV, this edition is based on the top-spec Fearless+ PS variant and boasts a striking Atlas Black exterior paint finish. Expect darkened badges, sleek alloy wheels, and subtle Red Dark insignia on the fender that screams exclusivity. Step inside, and the cabin adopts an equally dramatic dual-tone red and black theme, featuring plush leatherette upholstery with red seat accents and bespoke Red Dark graphics on both the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and the digital instrument cluster. The Red Dark Edition comes with a premium of up to Rs 28,000 over the standard Fearless+ PS variant it’s based on.

The Electric Sibling: Nexon EV’s Continuing Evolution

Not one to be left behind, the Nexon EV has also seen its share of upgrades. Tata Motors previously introduced an ADAS suite to the Nexon EV, with prices starting from Rs 17.29 lakh (ex-showroom). The EV model maintains its impressive performance with two battery pack options: a 30kWh unit offering a claimed range of 325km, and a larger 45kWh pack delivering an extended range of 489km. This makes the Nexon EV a compelling choice for environmentally conscious buyers looking for a blend of range and features. The Red Dark Edition’s aesthetic treatment, which debuted on the Nexon EV, is now a familiar and welcome sight across the ICE variants too.

Pricing and Market Positioning

The 2025 Tata Nexon (ICE) lineup now ranges from Rs 7.32 lakh to Rs 14.15 lakh (ex-showroom). The ADAS-equipped Fearless+ PS DCA variant is priced at Rs 13.53 lakh (ex-showroom). Meanwhile, the Red Dark Edition begins at Rs 12.44 lakh (ex-showroom) for the petrol MT variant and goes up to Rs 14.15 lakh (ex-showroom) for the diesel AMT variant. For the Nexon EV, prices generally range from Rs 12.49 lakh to Rs 17.49 lakh (ex-showroom), depending on the variant and battery configuration. With these strategic updates and competitive pricing, the Nexon continues to stand strong against rivals like the Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Brezza, Mahindra XUV 3XO, and Nissan Magnite.

Tata Motors’ continuous efforts to enhance its popular models with advanced technology and striking aesthetics demonstrate its commitment to offering a compelling package to the Indian consumer. The 2025 Nexon, with its newfound intelligence and undeniable style, is poised to continue its reign in the compact SUV segment.
